Awards/Honours Received: University gold medal and Certificate of Honour in Ph.D.; University Merit Scholarship in M.Sc.; College Certificate of Merit in BSc.; Gold medal from “Himotkarsh”- an academy for Literature, Culture and Public Welfare, Una, Himachal Pradesh for excellence in academics as Topper in Ph.D. in College of Horticulture, Nauni; Third Best poster award in Annual Meeting of the Indian Society of Plant Pathologists, Ludhiana and National Symposium on “Plant Pathology in the Challenging Global Scenario” held at NBPGR, New Delhi (February 27-28, 2009).

Research Areas: Dr. Meenu Gupta specializes in isolation and handling of fungal pathogens and management of diseases caused by them in ginger and other spice as well as vegetable crops. Presently, she is working as Co-PI in ICAR All India Coordinated Research Project on Spices and is handling disease management experiments on ginger and turmeric. She has authored 44 research papers in journals of national and international repute, 18 review articles and book chapters and 30 popular articles and articles in compendia etc. She has guided 2 M.Sc. Students and presently guiding 2 students on the management of different diseases in spice crops. She has also delivered many radio and TV talks on these aspects.
