Dr.K.Sesha Kiran has pursued his B.Sc(Ag) at Agricultural College, Bapatla. He pursued his Masters as Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Junior Research Fellow at University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka and Ph.D. at Advanced Center for Plant Virology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi and worked on Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in Plant Pathology at College of Horticulture, V.R. Gudem, Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University and teaches Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Plant Pathology. He is recipient of CSIR-Junior Research Fellowship, Graduate Research Assistantship from University of Kentucky, USA, Graduate Teaching Assistantship from Northern Illinois University, USA. He is also inducted as Associate Fellow of Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences, Amaravathi. He is also recipient of Science Academies Summer Research Fellowship twice during 2018 and 2019 from INSA, New Delhi, IAS, Bangalore and NASI, Prayagraj. He worked as Scientist (Plant Pathology) in AICRP-Fruits and AICRP-Spices and carried out research projects on Banana, Jackfruit, Sapota, Black Pepper, Ginger, Turmeric etc., He has presented his research work at several International  and National conferences in Malaysia and India. He has mobilised large number of  scientists, faculty and research scholars of plant pathology to become life members of Indian Phytopathological Society, New Delhi.
