-          As a specialist in the field of Plant Protection,  he was appointed by the Indian Agricultural Institute of India 

-          to investigate the impact of ear-sickle disease in wheat in the Central part of Uttar Pradesh (1968)

-          In 1971,  he was member of a team appointed by the IARI to investigate the impact of rice root Nematodes on rice crop in Bihar

-          During 1979-80,  he was member of an evaluation team of Govt of India to study the impact of new high 

-          yielding cereal varieties on the acceptance by the farmers,  particularly the marginal ones.
