Graduated and post graduated (Plant Pathology) in Agriculture with Honours and doctorate from JNKVV, Jabalpur. Joined as  Jr. Scientist at RARS, JNKVV, Harda  in 1988.  Moved to  IGKV, Raipur  in 1988  as Asstt. Professor, then  elevated  as Assoc. Professor in 1995, Professor in 2003, Professor and Head (Plant Pathology), IGKV, Raipur  in 2012-13 and 2006. Became Dean, SKS CARS, Rajnandgaon  in 2013-14, SK CARS, Kawardha in 2007-12. Joined as Director, Extension Services at IGKV, Raipur in May, 2014 and Director, Instruction/Controller of Examination in Feb., 2018 and continuing till date. Elected as National President of Indian Phytopathological Society (IPS), New Delhi in 2018 and taken over as President in Feb., 2019; As Zonal President  of  IPS in 2013; as Zonal Councillor of ISMPP, Udaipur in 2002. Visiting Fellowship of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Shanghai (China); Visiting Fellow of  ICRISAT at  Patancheru (A.P.); As  Member, RAC of ICAR-Directorate of Mushroom Research, Solan (H.P.) from 2013-16; Recipient of K.C.Mehta and Manoranjan Mitra Award-2019; Three Life Time Achievement Awards during 3^rd International Conference at Management Development Institute of Singapore in 2017 and International Conference on GRISAAS in 2017 and IRDP Journals in 2018; Brija Gopal Sharma Memorial All India Best Agriculture Extension Worker  Award–2016  by SADHNA, Solan (H.P.); “Distinguished Scientist Award” by Society for Scientific Development in Agriculture and Technology, Meerut (U.P.) in 2016; “Best  Worker Award” in 2001; have been the Sectional Editor (Mycology) and Member, Editorial  Board of Indian Phytopath, Member, Editorial Board of Journal of Mycology and Plant Pathology for eight years, Member, Editorial Board of  Mushroom Research since 2002; Editor in Chief of Journal of Agricultural Issues; published  Six Books, 102 Research Papers, 5 Review Articles,  12 book chapters, 27 Bulletins, 80 Popular Articles, guided 38 PG/Ph.D. Thesis,  presented  70 research papers as Key Note Speaker/Guest Lecture in National/International Seminars.
