Birth & Educations: Born on December 15, 1976 at Karaunja, Azamgarh (U.P.), educated class 10th from Janta Inter College, Ambari, Azamgarh in 1990; class 12th from Public Inter College, Shahganj, Jaunpur in 1992; B.Sc. (Ag. & A.H.) in 1997 and Ph. D. (Ag.) Plant Pathology in 2005 from C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur; M.Sc. (Ag.) Plant Pathology in 2000 from N. D. University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad (Uttar Pradesh) India.

Positions hold: Started career as Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) at KVK (NDUAT) Ballia in August 2004 later on November 2007, served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, N. D. University of Agriculture and Technology, Faizabad. After that joined as Associate Professor-cum-Senior Scientist in Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur in November 2011 and promoted as University Professor-cum-Chief Scientist in 2017. Presently working as Professor (Plant Pathology) College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Pasighat, East Siang (Arunachal Pradesh) India since 2020.

Awards/Honours: P. R. Verma  Award-2000, Ph. D. Research Fellowship-2002, ISHA Best Student-Guide Award-2010, Prof. M. J. Narsingham Award-2011, Young Scientist Award-2013 and Dr M. M. Alam Medal-2015, Excellence in Teaching Award-2014, Science Initiator  Award-2015, Venus International Faculty Award-2016, Best Oral Paper Presentation Award-2017, Outstanding Scientist Award-2022,  and visited Beijing, China through the International Financial Support Scheme-2013 by DST, New Delhi, attended International Conference on Innovative Approaches in applied Sciences and Technologies (ICIAsT-2016) held at Kasetsart University, Thailand, Bangkok and International Conference on Agriculture and applied sciences for food security (AAPS-2017), held at Kathmandu, Nepal and also visited National Ilan University, Taiwan in 2023 under Foreign Faculty Training Programme for three month.

Research Areas: Mycology & plant pathology; molecular plant pathology, host-pathogen interaction, plant disease diagnosis & their management, fungi fermentation technology and mushroom production and 82 research papers have been published in reputed journals.
