Birth
& Educations: Born in Manipur, India. Caste-General, Matriculation-Board of
Secondary Education Manipur in the year 1981, PU/HSSLC-Manipur University in
the year 1983. Graduation- BSc (Agri) completed from Manipur Agricultural
College (Manipur University) in the year 1989-90, Post-Graduation- MSc (Agriculture)-Plant
Pathology in the year 1992 and PhD 1996 from Manipur University. I worked as
Research Associate at Manipur University in Biotechnological Research Project
on Fermented Food products of Manipur and Technology from 11/3/1996 to
21/11/1996. Again I was awarded as Research Associate by CSIR, New Delhi for
tenure of 4years & 5 months starting from 22nd November 1996 to
21st April 2001. After that I was offered as Senior Research
Associateship (Pool Scientist) by CSIR, Human Resource Development Group, New
Delhi for a period of 3 years starting from 17/8/2001 to 16/8/2004. During
entire period mentioned above I was filly engaged in teaching both UG and PG at
College of Agriculture, CAU, Imphal. I joined to KVK Bishnupur District, Utlou
as Scientist upto 2010. During this period I was appointed as
Coordinator/Programme incharge as well as Academic Counsellor for Indira Gandhi
Open University (IGNOU). I was appointed as Associate Professor at College of
Horticulture & Forestry, CAU, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, then transferred
as Deputy Director of Instructions during the year 2013., again transferred as
Deputy Director of Extension Education at CAU Head quarter during the year
2013-2016 and again transferred to College of Agriculture, CAU, Iroisemba,
imphal during the year 2016. I was promoted to Professor from 19th
April 2016 in Department of Plant Pathology, become Head of the Department from
2021 till date. Guided/guiding 6MSc and 2 PhD students.

Significant scientific contributions to plant
pathology: During the year 2018-2019, Scientific cultivation and production of
good spawn, a 90 days training programme were conducted sponsored by Power
Finance Corporation Limited (A Government of Undertaking) under the aegis of
Directorate of Extension Education, CAU, Imphal.
