Dr. Mawar began her research career since 1998 at the Central Arid Zone Research Institute Jodhpur, India and worked in management of soil borne plant pathogens such as Macrophomina phaseolina, Fusarium and Ganoderma by soil solarization, use of cruciferous residues, composts, and biological control, etc. Honored with Best Women Scientist Fellowship by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. In 2012, she was selected as a Senior Scientist (Plant Pathology) at ICAR - Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi. Published more than 65 research papers, book chapters, popular articles in national and international journals such as Annals of Applied Biology, Crop Protection, Phytopathologia Mediterranea, Phytoparasitica, Australasian Journal of Plant Pathology, Journal of Forestry Research, Australasian Plant Disease Notes and American Phytopathological Society, Springer Publishers, etc. Served as a Zonal Councilor (central zone) of Indian Phytopathological Society and served an Organizing Secretary of a National Symposium held in 2007. Authored four Books. Delivered several lead lectures in various conferences. Delivered invited talks Nepal, Thailand, Italy, France and Uzbekistan in their International Conferences. Recipient of 10 Best Poster and Paper Presentation Awards. In 2019, awarded as Best Women Scientist by the Indian Society of Mycology and Plant Pathology. Received Patents in a novel bacterium Bacillus firmus for its “Bioformulation as a Biopesticide” and in “Consortium of Biopesticides and their Bioformulations”. She is a Fellow of Indian Phytopathological Society of India in 2020 and honored with Best Oral Presentation Award in their International Conference held at PUSA, IARI, New Delhi. Life Member of Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture and its Advisory Board Member.
