Dr. Arup K Mukherjee has successfully worked on various aspects of plant pathology like genomics &proteomics of host-pathogen interaction, molecular diagnostics of plant diseases, molecular markers assisted selection, biocontrol of crop diseases, plant disease epidemiology etc. He has received many awards and recognition like DBT Post Doctoral Fellowship, DBT Overseas Associateship, Fellow of Association of Rice Research Workers, Sir C.V. Raman Life time Achievement National Award by IRDP groups, Distinguished Achievement Award -2015 for innovative research at the frontiers of plant pathology and Fellow of Association for the Advancement of Biodiversity Science, Fellow of the Society of Applied Biotechnology, SAB Academic merit Award and many more. He has guided 8 Ph.D. and 15 M.Sc. students. He has published 95 research papers in the journals like Phytopathology, European J Plant Pathology, Scientific Reports, BMC Plant Biology, Journal of Proteomics, Biological Control, Functional Plant Biology, Frontiers in Plant Sciences, Microbiological Research, Physiological and Molecular Plant Pathology, Industrial Crops & Products, Rice Sciences etc. He has developed two Trichoderma based products and reported 3 new pathogens from India.
