Awarded B.Sc. (Agriculture) from Kerala Agricultural University in 2010 and M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Plant Pathology from the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in 2012.  Awarded Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from ICAR-IARI, New Delhi during 2019. Joined ICAR through Agriculture Research Service as Scientist (Plant Pathology) at ICAR-National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources, Bangalore in 2016 and worked for eleven months. In 2017, transferred to ICAR-CPCRI, Kayamkulam RS on 27.03.2017. Completed 14 months and again transferred to CPCRI HQ Kasaragod. Presently working at Kasaragod from 1st June 2018 onwards.   

Presently working on diagnostics and management of diseases of coconut, arecanut, and cocoa.  Specialized in molecular diagnostics and management of plant diseases. Characterized complete genome of Tobacco streak virus and also development of infectious clone of TSV. Developed rapid detection technique for Papaya Ring spot virus through Loop mediated isothermal amplification assay. Presently associated with the project on “Integrated disease management in plantation crops” and characterized the sooty mold fungus Leptoxyphium sp. associated with Rugose spiralling whitefly.  Also associated with the characterization of coconut lethal wilt disease.  

Published 10 research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals authored 3 book chapters, 5 popular articles and presented research findings in national and international conferences/symposia till now.
